This new publication from PAPILLONS partners at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), within Work Package 3 (WP3), shows that microplastics originating from common agricultural materials (such as mulching fabrics) can alter soil properties even at low concentrations. At higher levels, impacts were observed on the reproduction and behaviour of several soil organisms, including earthworms and springtails.
