Microplastics and PFAS as ubiquitous pollutants affect potencies of highly toxic chemicals in mixtures

This new publication from PAPILLONS partners at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), within Work Package 3 (WP3), explores how microplastics interact with pesticides and PFAS in soil. Interestingly, the presence of microplastics influenced the toxicity of these chemicals to soil organisms (often reducing it), highlighting the complexity of pollutant mixtures in real environments.
